Max landed a role in The Tragedy on Emborune Road. Max Played a young man called Henry Withers. His character is seen in court in the production defending himself and giving his account of events that happened that night while under the influence of alcohol. The production is based on a true story that happened in Newbury in 1892. It is about The story of the inquest, into the murder, held at the Blackboy Inn on Bartholomew Street. The verdict is challenged by the local Newbury Weekly News reporter. A modern perspective tries to analyse the cause of this tragedy. The play is based on historical documents and performed by members of the Friends of Newtown Road Cemetery, where the murderer is buried.
