Max Praised by Conference Organisers Following Oxford Brookes University Keynote

Max has received praise from conference organisers and fellow speakers following his keynote address at the Oxford Brookes University Beyond Labels Conference 2026.

The event, hosted in partnership with the Children and Young People Research Network, brought together leading voices in education, inclusion and trauma-informed practice to inspire the next generation of teachers and professionals.

Emma Knipe and Dr Jon Reid publicly thanked Max for opening the conference with what was described as an "insightful and humorous" keynote.

Reflecting on the success of the day, Dr Jon Reid said:

Max's keynote focused on Autism, Neurodiversity and the importance of moving beyond labels to better understand and support individuals.

His presentation combined personal experience with practical insight, encouraging future educators to create more inclusive environments where every child feels understood and valued.

The conference also featured workshops from experts across education, trauma-responsive practice and inclusion, before concluding with a plenary keynote from Stephen Unwin who Max also got to meet!
