Max Joins Cambrian Learning Trust as IT Network Manager

Max announced today on Linked in and is proud to announce his new role as IT Network Manager at Cambrian Learning Trust, where he will be responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure across five educational sites including Larkmead School, St John’s Primary and Secondary, Thameside Primary, and Wantage CE Primary.

Max started the job in March but has only just announced this!

This exciting multisite leadership position allows Max to bring together his years of experience in IT management, Education, and Team leadership to deliver strategic, reliable, and forward thinking technological solutions that support both staff and students.

As part of his new role, Max will lead and manage the IT team, ensuring ongoing staff development, training, and annual performance reviews. He will provide strategic ICT support across all schools, helping to maintain robust systems and advise senior management on ICT-related matters, contributing to long-term digital planning and innovation within the Trust.

From network design and infrastructure planning to the installation, maintenance, and repair of essential ICT equipment, Max will oversee a wide range of systems including servers, desktops, laptops, tablets, projectors, and interactive whiteboards.

His hands-on expertise in Windows Server administration, Office 365, SIMS, VLAN configuration, and network security ensures that every site benefits from secure, high-performing systems tailored to each school’s needs.

Max will also take the lead on key areas such as firewall management, web filtering, wireless optimisation, and BYOD strategies, all aimed at creating a safe and efficient digital environment for learning and collaboration.

Reflecting on his new position, Max shared:
